Product Description

Tartufata is an incredibly delicious Italian truffle paste using a combination of black truffles, Champignon mushrooms, black olives, anchovies and herbs.

Made with Black Summer Truffle (tuber aestivum) whose flavour and aroma is complemented and enhanced with mushroom. These key ingredients are both foraged in the forests of Tuscany, Umbria and Piedmont during autumn-winter months.

This product really delivers an intense hit of flavour. All the key ingredients in this paste: truffle, mushroom, olive, anchovy, are all considered umami foods, so combining them together means a little will go a long way.

Adding a small amount of Tartufata will lift any pasta or rice dish especially those with meats or mushrooms. Dilute a little in extra virgin olive oil and drizzle over soups and minestrone, pizza, bruschetta, grilled and roasted meats and poultry. Also recommended with any egg-based dish. Since 1986, the family-run Naturbosco company (‘natural forests’) has selected, processed and distributed truffles and porcini mushrooms gathered from the forests of regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Piedmont; the exact locations being a closely held secret of the Ceruti family.

Back at their base in Arezzo in Tuscany, the family carefully select only the most aromatic and flavoursome wild and cultivated truffles and porcini mushrooms to be used in their products.
