This Arrabbiata – Tomato and Chilli – pasta sauce from Italian producer Rustichella D’Abruzzo is one for those who love a spicier pasta sauce. Containing vine-ripe tomato, extra virgin olive oil, hot Italian chilli, garlic, onion, sugar and salt, it’s delicious.

We truly love Rustichella D’Abruzzo tomato-based pasta sauces. They’re made from plump vine-ripened tomatoes and other premium ingredients. They have the superior flavour and texture of home-made, traditional pasta sauces.

Only the freshest available vegetables are used for these sauces. The tomatoes are deliciously sweet, and have been peeled and seeded. Quality extra virgin olive oil is used. The sauces are cooked for a minimum amount of time to preserve the delicate freshness of the tomatoes.

These sauces are best enjoyed with one of Rustichella’s own pasta shapes. However, their use is really only limited by your imagination. They are ideal on pizza, in stews or soups, over baked or broiled meat or fish, or even as a finishing sauce for risotto.

about the producer

Rustichella d’Abruzzo is found deep in the green Vestine hills, in the central region of Abruzzo on the Adriatic coast. In 1924 Gaetano Sergiacomo established the business in the province of Penne, to conserve traditional methods of pasta production. Three generations later, Rustichella is still a family business managed by Gaetano’s grandson, Gianluigi Peduzzi.

Rustichella is absolutely committed to traditional production techniques, and a quality artisan product. Meticulous attention to every detail, starting with the selection of excellent raw ingredients.
