This fabulous Tapas Boxed Seafood selection has been put together by French producer Ferrigno under the brand Les Belles de Marseille. It comprises four tins of exquisite canned seafood delicacies that are ideal for a tapas platter. Inside the nicely presented box is a tin of each of these:
Provencal Squid (Encornets a la provencale) – squid in a traditional Provencal tomato based sauce.
Small Sardines (Les Pitchounettes) – in extra virgin olive oil.
Mussels in Escabeche (Moules a l’escabeche) – mussels in a pickled sauce.
Squid with olive oil & garlic (Encornets a l’huile d’olive et a l’ail) – extra virgin olive oil and garlic.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Les Belles de Marseille canned seafood is produced by French company, Ferrigno. They have their own fishing fleet in Port Saint Louis du Rhone, in Provence in the heart of the Mediterranean region, and their own plant located less than 100m from the port which is how they ensure quality and freshness all the way.
Provencal Squid
Squid (Loligo vulgaris ou Dosidicus Gigas)(40%), provencal sauce (water, tomato concentrate, rarpeseed oil, onions, peppers, olives, salt, thickener: guar gum, spices).
Fishing area: Pacific Ocean or Indian Ocean.
Small Sardines
Little sardines (sardina pilchardus), extra virgin oilive oil, salt.
Fishing area: Atlantic Ocean Centre East or Meditteranean Sea.
Mussels in Escabeche
Mussels (Mytilus galloprovencialis ou chillensis), rapeseed oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, spices, thickener: guar gum.
Origin: Spain or Chile.
Squid with Olive Oil or Garlic
Squid (Loligo vulgaris ou Dosidicus Gigas), extra virgin olive oil (22%), garlic (11%), parsley.
Fishing area: Pacific Ocean or Indian Ocean.
