About the Producer
In 1836 Candiserie Cossé-Duval was established in Nantes, France producing candy cane sugar. All of their sugar was sourced from Reunion Island, a French territory. In 1889, the unique flavour of the brown cane sugars won multiple medals at the Paris World Fair. The following year, this exceptional recognition gave rise to the La Perruche brand. Since that time their wonderful sugar products have become famous around the world, loved by chefs and connoisseurs alike.
