David’s Kosher salt is a versatile salt that is great for everyday cooking. It’s sought after by chefs because it has a less intense, and more pure, salty taste and because it’s easier to pick up the crystals and toss them into the pot! Use it in cooking as you would table salt. Its grain has a coarser, flakier texture than table salt.
Kosher certification, among other things, requires a purity standard. Part of the reason kosher salt is so popular among gourmet chefs is that it is free of additives that are found in regular table salt, like iodine.
