If you love Escargot, you’ll love these beautiful snails from Spain. Simply preserved in brine they are as natural as they come. Caracoles, or garden snails, are sourced from the fields that produce Ostargi’s vegetables. The snails are quickly purged, then slowly poached in brine before being bottled in their shells. These snails are meaty, full flavoured and best served with lashings of garlic butter.
about the producer
Amalia Herce and Jose Salcedo started making their artisan food products in the 1950s in San Adrian in the Navarro region of Spain. Since that time their philosophy has been to bring the field to the consumer with the least possible intervention, respecting the rhythms of nature, and utilising the best methods for preserving the quality of the outstanding produce of the region. Today a new generation is respecting the knowledge and lessons of the past whilst embracing modern quality systems to ensure that Amalia and Jose’s legacy lives on.
