Ortiz Anchovies are produced using time honoured fishing methods and curing techniques. These Anchovies have an unmistakable flavour thanks to the way they are prepared, using a traditional process identical to that of anchovies in olive oil, but they are packaged differently. Salt is carefully cleaned from the Anchovies, they are hand filleted and the skin is left on their backs, which gives them an original flavor reminiscent of salted anchovies.

Conservas Ortiz was founded more than 100 years ago and was established in a small fishing village, Ondarroa, located in the North of Spain, on the Cantabrian Coast on the Bay of Biscay. Conservas Ortiz preserve their artisan products respecting traditional fishing methods and the results can be seen in the unmistakable texture of their products and their natural flavour which set them apart from the rest.
