Product Description
Herbes de Provence is a classic blend of herbs and lavender flowers traditionally used in French cuisine, especially in the south. Add to stews, soups, casseroles, sauces, gravies and roast meats in the same manner as mixed herbs. It’s really great with chicken and game.
This blend from Peter Watson contains crushed bay leaves, basil, nutmeg, rosemary, thyme, cloves, savoury, white pepper, coriander and lavender.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Peter Watson was born into a family where the rhythm of the seasons dictated the cycle of life – making jam, bottling sauce, preserving fruits and vegetables in season. This has guided his philosophy and methods to this day. Peter produces real food, which is hand made and using only premium quality ingredients in season. You can really taste the difference.

When I saw that Herbes de Provence are available I could not resist to order them. However, I made the mistake of not reading the description what Herbes are actually in it.
I have been in the Provance many times and have experience quite a different hearb mix. There is no coriander in it, as many others included in your ‘Herpes de Provance’.
I think it is dishonest to call the product you sell as ‘Herbes de Provence’. It is a Mediterranean Herpe Mix representing all country in the Mediterranean area. So why not call it ‘Mediterranean Herpe Mix’?
Herpe de Provence is very regional product and should be respected as such.
I am sorry I bought this product and you can gladly have it back. I am otherwise always satisfied with the product I purchased but this one is disapointing.

Thanks for your feedback. I’m sorry you were disappointed with this product and it wasn’t to your taste. As a spice blend there are hundreds of varieties of Herbes de Provence – every family and producer has their own recipe! It traditionally includes thyme, basil, rosemary, tarragon, savory, marjoram, oregano, bay leaf and sometimes lavender too (as this one does). But different producers sometimes add their own touch with other herbs. We’ve also been to Provence several times and our opinion is that this blend is a very authentic version of Herbes de Provence.
